OK this part is really tricky; how do I help you find out if I am the right celebrant for you? Well firstly, if you haven’t already guessed from the pictures, I love being outdoors and I live my life by simply doing what makes me happy, such as finding a bargain in a charity shop or taking my beloved dog for a walk along the Canal and having dinner at our local pub with friends.
So how did I stumble upon my role as a celebrant? In all honesty, I didn’t know what a celebrant was until a few years ago when my Grandmother passed away. The funeral service was incredible – it wasn’t sad, or boring or impersonal. I came away with a warm and happy feeling and a better understanding and connection to the amazing life my Grandmother had lived.
At that moment I thought, ooo I think I’d be good at this and then suddenly this little fire ignited in my belly and I couldn’t think of anything else I wanted to be when I grew up. So, I ploughed through lots of research and found that celebrants also do weddings, vow renewals, baby naming ceremonies and so much more! Well who doesn’t love a wedding….and that’s how I came to be here now.
What’s the best part of being a celebrant I hear you ask? I can say that my job is to make friends, because that’s what we will become. I spend quality time getting to know couples, finding out what makes them tick, and enjoy nothing better than connecting with people who give me the privilege of sharing and celebrating one of the most special days of their lives. And in doing so I will help you to create a special celebration that will leave your guests with that warm and happy feeling too!
SUNFLOWER
Sometimes in life you cross paths with someone who instantly makes you feel calm, refreshed, alive and wholesome. They encourage your dreams and celebrate your wins without an ounce of jealousy. They just want what's best for you, and. you for them; there isn't much more to it. They are warm and bright, loving and loyal. You can't help but feel authentically happy in their presence like the best version of yourself.
Thank you for being my sunflower.
